Five people including a one year old baby girl narrowly escaped death on Monday afternoon when a taxi they were traveling in somersaulted several times and landed upside down in a ditch at Ekon junction near Cape Coast.

The baby girl escaped unhurt.

An eye witness, Mr. Peter Brown, a tutor at the Oguaa Senior High Technical School, located a few metres away from the scene, told the GNA that the taxi was heading towards Cape Coast from Yamoransa.

He said the driver lost control when he failed to apply his brakes in a sharp curve, resulting in the accident.
