The bail application hearing of ace broadcaster, Kwesi Kyei Darkwa (KKD) has been adjourned to Thursday January 15, 2015.
At the request of KKD’s counsel, Tony Folson, the case was heard in camera but it is unclear why that request was made.

The accused was however not present in court.
The fashion icon has been accused of raping 19-year-old Ewuraffe Orleans Thompson and has since been in the custody of the Police since December 28.
His lawyers have resorted to the Human Rights court in Accra for bail because according to them, the District court does not have the locus to grant him bail.
His first attempt at seeking bail was denied by the Kaneshi District court.
He has since denied the rape charge leveled against him, insisting that the sex with the victim was ‘consensual sex.’
The KKD alleged rape saga: The story so far
December 27, 2014: Renowned broadcaster Kwasi Kyei Darkwah is arrested by the police at the African Regent Hotel and is held at the Airport Police Station in Accra.
December 28, 2014: Nana Asante Bediatuo, lawyer for KKD, rejects the allegations of rape against his client, revealing that the two had “consensual sex.”
December 29, 2014: An member of KKD’s family tells Citi News that they suspect foul play in the circumstances leading to his arrest.
December 30, 2014: KKD is charged with rape and makes his first appearance in court where he is denied bail by a Kaneshi District court.
December 31, 2014: Lawyers for KKD file another bail application at the Human Rights court in Accra which they describe as a ‘higher court’ following the denial of their original application.
December 31, 2014: In their application for bail at the Human Rights Court, the lawyers say that security footage at the hotel from the night of the incident captured the complainant and their client “romantically kissing” adding that the two were locked in a similar embrace after the alleged incident.
December 31, 2014: The fashion icon, in a Facebook post, assures his sympathizers that he is “alive and well” and warns his detractors not to speak of his demise yet.
January 8, 2015: KKD is admitted at the Police Hospital in Accra after he was seen limping badly during his case for bail which was adjourned by the Magistrate Court.
January 13, 2015: Reports emerge that the alleged victim has withdrawn her complaint against the broadcaster after his case for bail was adjourned to Thursday, January 15.
