The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Tamale central constituency executives have commended the Northern Regional police command for maintaining peace in the area.
[contextly_sidebar id=”h3b7SijQGmEj2nCEz13RgXfVWVcYVroi”]The Northern Region recorded pockets of chieftaincy-related violence in 2014 which led to the death of some chiefs including the Bimbila-Naa.
But the Tamale Central constituency NPP executives insisted that the regional police command deserved commendation.
The constituency Secretary, Musah Mutawakil said this in a Citi News interview on the performance of the Northern Regional Police administration.
He equally praised residents of Tamale for their peaceful co-existence and encouraged them to be law abiding.
He reiterated the NPP’s pledge to cooperate with the regional police command to preserve the peace before during and after the 2016 general elections.
However, Musah Mutawakil implored the police to deepen their neutrality in handling political and chieftaincy matters.
