The President’s State of the Nation address which was scheduled to take place on Thursday, February 21, 2014 has been rescheduled to Tuesday, 25th February, 2014.

This was announced in Parliament by Majority leader and Minister responsible for government business in Parliament, Dr. Benjamin Kumbuor.

The rescheduling according to Dr. Kunbuor was necessitated by unforeseen circumstances.

The state of the nation address is a constitutional requirement as stated in Article 67 of the 1992 constitution which mandates the President of the Republic of Ghana to deliver to Parliament a message on the State of the Nation at the beginning of each session of Parliament.
