According to the disgruntled service personnel, several efforts to compel government to pay their allowances have proved futile.
Speaking with Citi News some of them expressed their anger and complained that they have been left stranded.

But this morning we went to the office to collect the card and go for the money but they told us that the cheque has been dishonored so there is no way we are getting our monies,” one of the personnel narrated.
Another also expressed anger and frustration over the unpaid allowances saying, “I spent GHC 50 from my home town to this place and I was told the check has re-bounced and they are asked us to go back. That means we have come for nothing.”
