The court of international stars lined up for the upcoming 2014 Glo-CAF awards holding in Lagos on January 8, 2015 got swelled with the confirmation of Ghanaian star, Asem and Nigeria’s stand-up comedy export, Basketmouth for the event.

They are joining a cast of A-List stars already confirmed for the epic football cum entertainment show.

Asem, a singer, rapper and songwriter is a flamboyant, wave making artiste with talent and personality. He has shared the stage with international acts such as Rick Ross, Omarion, Fat Joe, Jah Rule and others. Basketmouth, on his part, has become a household name across the continent and beyond with his uncanny ability to get so many kinds of audiences asking for more of his jokes.

Other stars lined up include global Jazz icon, Hugh Masekela, Nigeria’s music sensation, Flavour Nabania, multi-award winning Nigerian Afrobeat star, Lagbaja, Congo DRC’s multiple award-winning song writer, singer and guitarist, Fally Ipupa; Egyptian folk singer and the first person from an Arab country to perform at a Nobel Prize ceremony, Abdel Hakim Abdel Samad Kamel.

The list also parades the famed Soweto Gospel Choir from South Africa, amazing singing group, Uhuru, pan African group, Cirque D’Afrique; and Tanzania’s prominent  multiple award winning singer.

Other stars expected to perform at the event include Hip hop sensations and Globacom Ambassadors, P-Square and sultry-voiced Omawumi.

Globacom’s Regional Marketing Director, West Africa, Mr. Ashok Israni, described the pack as a careful selection of music stars and highly decorated performers, whose songs are currently ruling the airwaves across the continent.

The annual Glo-CAF award event, sponsored by Globacom, is held to celebrate the continent’s finest footballers and administrators and is attended by world sports icons, businessmen and entertainment heavyweights.

Glo subscribers from Ghana can have an opportunity to rub shoulders with these stars and indeed the crème de la crème of African football just by recharging their lines with a minimum of GHc 10 till the end of this month. The opportunity, which is available for seventy five prepaid and postpaid subscribers, will gift them an all-expense paid trip from Accra to Lagos to witness the prestigious event.

Other subscribers, who successfully predict the African ‎Footballer of the Year, Woman Player of the Year and Coach of the Year stand a chance of winning three all-expense paid trips to the United Kingdom to watch Manchester United play at Old Trafford.
