Madam Edna Nyame, the vice President of the Federation of United Nations Associations, on Saturday called on the unemployed youth to take up the challenge of creating businesses on their own.

Madam Nyame was speaking at a day’s seminar organised by the EMBAdot Ghana Group Limited for the youth at Anaji near Takoradi.

The seminar which was on the theme: “Building an empire of opportunities and haunting for success,” formed part of the youth empowerment programme of the group.

Madam Nyame said it is possible for young people to set up businesses and they must not sit down and “expect manna to fall from heaven”.

She said the youth must develop their potentials and learn some trades in order to achieve their dream businesses.

Mr William Daniel Mensa, Bogoso branch Manager of GN Bank, advised the youth to have the vision of the sort of businesses they want to establish and execute it with determination.

He said they must focus on their vision and not give up when they encounter challenges.

Reverend Charlie Sam, Head Pastor and Founder of Faith House Chapel International, asked the youth to have vision and purpose.

He said the youth must drive their destiny with vision and purpose to enable them succeed in life.
