Some residents in Nkonya and Alavanyo have refused to adhere to the 14-hour curfew imposed on them.

The communities have been under curfew following protracted clashes.
Two persons were injured in a recent clash which occurred in the area.
Some of the residents told Citi News that even under the curfew they still feel unsecured.
They said they preferred staying vigilant protecting themselves than leaving their safety entirely in the hands of security agencies and suffer the consequences.
The residents went about destroying some military tents in the area while defying the curfew hours.
The Hohoe Police Divisional Commander, Chief Superintendent Joseph Antwi-Gyawu, who lamented in an interview with Citi News said they are having difficulty in managing the situation but assured the public that his outfit is vigorously putting in measures to mitigate the problem.
The latest bloodbath in the two traditional areas escalated when a man sustained severe gunshot injury after some unknown gunmen opened fire at him in Nkonya Afakyere.
This angered some residents of Nkonya who accused the people of Alavanyo of masterminding the attack.
The disgruntled residents on the night of the attack launched a counter attack at the people of Alavanyo thus brewing chaos in the two traditional areas that expressed remorse few days ago for disturbing the peace of the country with their protracted land dispute.
