Describing Citi FM’s 2014 Decemba 2 Rememba (#D2R2014) as fun and a success will be an understatement.

All the performances were just on point; patrons were on their feet the entire period, singing along with the artistes and enjoying rib cracking comedy by DKB and Afia Schwarznegger.

The Accra International Conference Center was on “fire”; never a dull moment. The event got Ghana trending on Twitter as patrons could not keep their excitement to themselves but to share on twitter and facebook.

Airtel Ghana, sponsors of 2014 D2R was also very charitable as they came bearing gifts for the audience.

The opening act which was by Akoo Nana got the crowd to express their support for Hiplife Artiste, Kwaw Kese who has been in prison custody for about a month in Kumasi.

#D2R2014

The second act, Keche was simply amazing! The introduction of the music duo by two young kids got the crowd cracking up and raised their expectation for Keche’s performance.

As always, the group did not disappoint.

Ghana’s own DKB is now a totally transformed comedian. ALL his jokes got the crowd laughing out loud. The general consensus was that, “DKB has tremendously improved on his comedy acts.”

#D2R2014

The usual unrequited love bickering by Airtel Ambassadors; Ahuof3 Patri and Kalybos of ‘Boys Kasa’ fame was on display, much to the excitement of the party makers.

M.anifest took the stage, and as expected, treated the audience to top notch intellectual rap music. And oh; patrons did sing along as well.

#D2R2014

Kontihene also proved that despite his long absence from the music industry, he still got it. His old tunes got the AICC on fire! Patrons were up and sang along throughout his performance – Nostalgic feelings visible on the faces of everyone.

Afia Schwarznegger’s introduction of Guru just had to contain her recent war of words with Bishop Daniel Obinim.

Indeed, some Ghanaian artistes can definitely sing and perform their songs without miming.

The crowd waited for the dance hall king Shatta Wale, but when Stonebwoy stepped onto the stage, he made the crowd totally forget Shatta was waiting to perform.

By the time he was done “wowing,” he had absolutely stolen the show. He delivered such a master-class act without miming.

#D2R2014

He even drew inspiration from his idols, Bob Marley and other Reggae greats who have walked on the surface of the earth.

Finally, King’s voice was heard, and boy did the crowd go wild!

#D2R2014

He was spotted on top of the stage lighting set up where he performed one of this songs.

#D2R2014

The AICC certainly exceeded its noise limit.
