Northern Regional youth Organizer of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Adam Mohammed Amin Abio has called for the confirmation of James Kofi Fono as one of the party’s deputy national youth Organizers.

[contextly_sidebar id=”df29Ayz0OQm15qaR9VulhioEjwZjRnHp”]Kofi Fono’s fate is hanging in the balance three weeks after the NDC national youth Organizer elections.

It is against this backdrop Alhaji Adam Mohammed Amin Abio has called on the party’s National Executive Committee to expedite action by swearing in Kofi Fono.

According to him, the National Executive Committee’s decision to withhold James Kofi Fono’s victory amounted to a clear violation of the party’s constitution.

He warned that the 2016 general elections will not be a “child’s play” for which reason the necessary structures must be put in place to retain the NDC in power.

Alhaji Abio kicked against another aspirant, Elom Abigail’s call for a re-run of the NDC deputy national youth Organizer election.

He lamented that any attempt to adhere to her call will set a bad precedent for the NDC in future.

“If we don’t put a stop to it where people will think that they must become leaders at all cost and will not be ready to accept any verdict of delegates this will continue to be a challenge to us.”

Alhaji Abio challenged Elom Abigail to concede defeat for the sake of party unity.
