Although it was intended for just Tigo staff, several others including customers and passers-by joined Tigo at the forecourt of their headquarters on Barnes road for their Carols service in Accra.

The night begun with Ghana’s famous acapella group, Alabaster Box welcoming all with their song ‘Akwaaba’.

To show the diverse nature of their workforce the bible readings were done in several local and international languages including French, Spanish, Yoruba and Pidgin.

Staff and customers sung various Christmas hymns along with the Tigo Choir.

Taking stock of the year under review, Tigo’s CEO, Roshi Motman, was grateful to staff for their renewed spirit and energy to contribute meaningfully towards transforming the business.

She said the company will in 2015 invest more in improving customer experience, developing staff and building a quality and resilient network.

The Head of Human Resource, Elizabeth Arhin, encouraged all gathered to think about their health, safety and wellbeing during the yuletide.

The entire audience could not keep to their seats when the sensational gospel artiste, Joyce Blessing mounted the stage, song after song, she got the entire management, staff and customers dancing.

The tempo increased when self-acclaimed dancehall queen Mzvee joined them singing her own rendition of some Christmas songs.

She interacted with staff and customers and gave away several hampers before performing some of her hit songs including ‘Natural girl’ and ‘Boko boko.’

The award winning gospel artiste, Qweci Oteng, wrapped it up for the evening with songs like ‘God dey bless me’ among several others.
