Appreciate Mahama; he is a gift from God – Akua Donkor

The founder of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor has charged Ghanaians to appreciate the efforts of President John Mahama because he is a gift from God.

She accused citizens of exhibiting ungrateful behaviour by “refused to see the good works of Mahama. As for me, I am grateful.”

Madam Donkor made these remarks at the 8th National Democratic Congress’ national delegates’ congress in Kumasi.

[contextly_sidebar id=”Sc59kw1z4RT9Rly8Mpr2vN75nWqfl6qB”]According to the GFP’s 2012 presidential candidate, it is unfair to blame President Mahama for all challenges the country is experiencing because the problems began from the tenure of Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

“Anybody who will come and say ‘boys abr3’, I will tell the person that ‘boys abr3’ began from the time of Kwame Nkrumah. He changed the pounds we were using as legal tender to Cedis and that is how come we are suffering,” she claimed.

Madam Donkor observed that since President Mahama took over, Ghanaians have never experienced hunger; “there is plenty of food in Ghana because the Lord has blessed him. For three years now, there is no hunger. God has really blessed John Mahama. NDC members should pray because I am solidly behind.”

She advised NDC members to pray for President Mahama to be re-elected in 2016 after which “I, Ekua Donkor of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) will become the next President.”

“I am telling Ghanaians that God gave us President Mahama. Look at his wife and look at ex-President John Rawlings who made everything easy for Ghanaians so if Ghana will prosper, then it is the NDC so we must all be careful because God has really gifted you people with a man of dignity,” she added.

The GFP founder also counseled all aspirants not to resort to the court if they lose the elections and suggested that the party members should help Mahama to lead the country and “we all see the significant changes which will occur.”

She however warned that any citizen habouring evil intentions against the President will fail saying, “because he is blessed by God, he has been made the President of Ghana and is now the chairman of ECOWAS. So anybody who plans evil against Mahama will be disgraced.”
