Frustrated workers of waste management company, Zoomlion in the Northern Region have received their five months accumulated salaries.

The company’s headship in the region suitably paid the angry workers who threatened to lay down their tools.

The Northern Regional Manager of Zoomlion, Emmanuel Vosuuri described the payment as a sigh of relief.

According to him, the payment had translated onto the workers effectiveness on the ground.

He brought this to the fore at a thanksgiving service held in Tamale to end the year 2014.

[contextly_sidebar id=”0ioy4aqiPebGtrl7NN3IkgRloU4ugtSM”]He admitted that the accumulated salary arrears affected the workers output in the region.

Emmanuel Vosuuri reassured the workers of management’s determination to adopt new strategies to improve their welfare and thereby encouraged them to remain steadfast to the company’s mission.

Mr. Vosuuri bemoaned some residents’ apathy towards sanitation in their communities and challenged them to complement the efforts of Zoomlion.

The regional stores officer, Issac Kojo Ebigya said 2014 was a difficult year for Zoomlion in the region.

He nonetheless praised God for safeguarding the company during the turbulent period.

Isaac Kojo Ebigya inspired the workers to renew their faith in God for better working conditions ahead.

A representative of the Executive Chairman of Zoomlion, Sylvester Fosu commended the workers for their tolerance during the hard times.
