Transport minister Dzifa Attivor has charged the newly sworn in board of Intercity STC Coaches Limited to acquire new buses for the company.
Once a market leader in the transport industry STC is now reeling under huge debts and has only a few buses plying its major routes.
The workers of the company recently embarked on a demonstration, accusing management of the company of embezzling funds.
Speaking at the swearing in ceremony Minister of Transport Dzifa Attivor challenged the board to strategize and revamp the operations of the ailing company.
Members of the board are Partrick Vanderpuye who is the chairman. D. D. Nyantakyi, Martha A Wudu, Sampson N. Gyamera, Sampson A. Nortey and Lawrence Kumi.
