If there is any guitarist who is well versed in not only the playing of the stringed instrument, but also has mastery in its production, sales, customization and repairs then, it is Lester Offei Dodoo (CEO of Lesterons Computer & Electronic Services).

The young but versatile bassist typifies a complete instrumentalist and a musician, who has specialized in customizing guitars to bring out its perfect sound.

Although he has no formal education in electronics, the Association Board of Royal Schools of Music, UK, graduate (Grade 5) creates a preamplifier in guitars to bring out its best sound.

To him, the creation of the inbuilt preamplifier mechanism boosts lost signals, and readjusts the  action of the fret board  to make finger application on the board  easier and play friendly.

Besides specializing in guitars, he has mastery in setting up quality sounds in huge, medium and small auditoriums; a classical example of his handiwork is the wiring of the sound setup of the popular Action Chapel International (ACI) auditorium; off the Spintex Road, Acoustical sound works at Oasis of Love Church Ahodwo Kumasi ICGC Community 12, 21, Branches Just to mention a few.

Lester, a high profile consultant also sets up studios, installs Instruments as well as organizes music workshops (instruments, vocal, sound , technical & administration) for school campuses (2003 final
year music students of UG, Legon) & churches, with the current one scheduled for Kumasi at the Oasis of Love Church, Ahodwo in the coming days

Responding to what drew him to the guitar, he pointed out that his father, a guitar player introduced him to the instrument, but he digressed from the acoustic to bass along the line.

He revealed “at age 15, I could fix anything electronic. Growing up, I realized the cost of a good guitar was expensive, so I move around to everywhere importers discharge home used appliances for the guitars and I work on them to bring the best out of it sound wise.”

He has played with world acclaimed gospel singer Alvin Slaughter, Ron Kenoly, recorded local artists like Maame Justine of ‘Kronkron ni’ fame,  Danny  Nettey, Nii Okai, Joe Mettle, Azigizar Jnr., among others and train young folks in music.

At a very tender age of four, he could strike the chord on the acoustic guitar; three year on he hit the stage as a bassist, endearing himself to his audience. He was a member of the first group that represented Ghana in an African Jazz Competition, at the Alliance Francàis

His knowledge in the things of music, makes him an empire and an avenue worth investing into.
