A defeated Youth aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Prince Kassim has raised concerns over the  party’s electoral process.

[contextly_sidebar id=”ToE62NrHtwdxgGDwW2e4mfAdBgAoBxFV”]According to him, the party’s electoral processes offer candidates little time to campaign and prepare for elections.

Speaking to Citi News a day after losing to Siidi Abubakar, Kassim cited a host of activities that contributed to his loss.

“We did not have indelible ink, the register was not properly compiled. Another big challenge was that we were only given delegates’ list infact less than 14 hours to the Congress day and that is unacceptable,” he stated.

The NDC youth wing on Saturday ditched the incumbent Ludwig Hlodze and elected Siidi Abubakar Musah as the new National Youth organiser.

He polled 382 votes to beat Ludwig Hlordze who could only manage 196 votes.

Speaking to Citi News Prince Kassim said the party’s electoral processes did not favour most of the candidates.

He therefore emphasized the need for the party to institute reforms in order to have an expanded electoral college.

“There should be serious reforms and if possible the electoral college should be expanded. The NDC needs some serious reforms.”
