AG’s department swerves Richard Nyamah

courtThe case between Mr. Richard Nyamah and the State has been adjourned to April 4, 2014 due to the Attorney General Department’s failure to appear in court on March 19, 2014.

Mr. Richard Nyamah (the Exparte) is suing the State for that matter the Ministry of Finance and Economic for allegedly owing GETFund for one year.

He filed a review of mandamus asking the court to compel the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning to pay the alleged one year arrears of the two and a half percentage of VAT returns into the GETFund accounts.

According to counsel for Richard Nyamah, Shean Poku, his client filed his statement of case on February 14, 2014.

He said the Attorney General’s Department was expected to file their response within 14 days which they failed to do.

His Lordship Justice L.L Mensah adjourned the case to April 4. 2014.
