Celebrated Hiplife group, VVIP will lead their fans to help clean up the capital city on Saturday during the second National Sanitation Day.

Speaking on the Citi Breakfast Show on Friday, the Local Government and Rural Development Minister, Julius Debrah disclosed that VVIP and their fans are going to work from the Nima roundabout all the way to Accra Girls High School.

“All the volunteers who will come will work amidst music and they will end around 10 to 11 am,” the sector Minister said.

According to Mr. Debrah, one of the high points of the exercise is that “they [VVIP] have all agreed in principle that they are all going to be available to take pictures with their fans which will be displayed on social media.”

The clean up exercise will then be crowned with a mini concert to entertain participants.

The National Sanitation Day was instituted by government to help solve the sanitation crisis across the country.

The first edition took place on November 1, 2014 and the first Saturday of every month has been set aside to clean the environment.
