A consortium of youth chiefs in the Dagbon Traditional Area has jumped to the defense of Tamale central Legislator, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini describing him as an achiever.
The youth chiefs called the bluff of Tamale based pressure group of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Gbewaa Youth’s earlier attacks on Inusah Fuseini.
The Gbewaa Youth in a Citi News report asserted that the Tamale central Legislator had outlived his usefulness for which reason he should not seek re-election in 2016.
[contextly_sidebar id=”a6Wan0fyzfWVpcVIW2lIqLTq8jMukrRB”]But the Dagbon youth chiefs in a rebuttal have cautioned Inusah Fuseini’s detractors to stop struggling to indict him without any physical evidence.
In a statement signed by the consortium’s Chairman, Seidu Abdulai Shagbaa and the Secretary, Alhaji Osman Mohammed, they served notice of resisting any calculated attempts to disrepute the Road Minister’s reputation.
They expressed satisfaction over Inusah Fuseini’s achievements and posited that he deserved another term in 2016 to continue with his unfinished agenda.
They warned, “Dagbon for that matter Tamale central will be making a big mistake if they trade Alhaji Inusah for any other candidate in the next parliamentary elections.”
“Alhaji Inusah Fuseini has not only brought development to Tamale central and the whole of Dagbon but also sponsored hundreds of students home and abroad with some studying at the masters’ level,” they explained.
They inspired Inusah Fuseini to ignore any diversionary tactics by his critics and continue with his development agenda.
“We wonder whether the Gbewaa youth want the MP to build castles in the air before they recognize his contributions to development.”
By extension, the Dagbon youth chiefs warned political youth groups in the Dagbon Traditional Area to refrain from maligning chiefs to satisfy their paymasters.
They downplayed the Gbewaa youth group’s attempt to disgrace the Gulkpegu- Naa and Nyankpala-Lana who were both accused of belittling the Tamale south Legislator, Hon. Harunah Iddrisu and the Tamale Metropolitan Chief Executive, Abdul Hanan Gundado.
“Questioning the influence of revered chiefs in the media is not only sacrilegious but also an attack on the Dagbon kingdom and we hereby warn the Gbewaa youth to desist from dragging the names of chiefs into politics.”
