Black-Maidens-620Coach of the Black Maidens, Evans Adotey has cautioned his team on the potential difficulty of the second group match against Germany on Tuesday.

Ghana began its run in the tournament with a 2-0 win over Korea DPR on Saturday and a win over the Europeans will ensure qualification to the quarter finals but Adotey said it would take a lot to get the points.

“I saw the Germans play against Canada and what I noticed was how resilient they were. They came back from two goals down to draw and that tells us how careful we must be but I am not scared of them. We have to be ready for them.

Their team looks quite different from the one we met in Azerbaijan where we played twice with a victory for both teams (2-1 to Germany and 1-0 to Ghana) but we are going in for the win and nothing less,”Adotey said in an interview.

Adotey  revealed the injury situation of the team and said players such as Jane Ayieyam, Naomi Anima, Belinda Anane, Ladi Issaka, Samira Abdul-Rahman came through the Korea game despite carrying knocks but he expected them to be fully fit before Tuesday’s match against Germany.
