The paramount Chief of Kpeve Newtown Togbe Aku Dompey XI in the South Dayi District of the Volta Region has expressed concern over the continuous stay of some retired and former workers of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture at the residential quarters of the Kpeve Agiculture station, depriving current workers accommodation.

According to the chief the situation is posing challenges to the existing employees who walk several kilometres to their offices.

’The residential quarters of the workers is still being illegally occupied by some former workers who retired some two, four, five years ago while deserving workers of the research station, deprived of good accommodation. The district assembly should be empowered to eject those occupying the quarters illegally or the Ministry Of Food and Agriculture does something immediately.’’

The chief expressed gratitude to government for taking steps to revamp the Kpeve Agriculture Research station; which was once a key research station.

Togbui Aku Dompey XI disclosed to citifmonline.com at the celebration of the 13th Zendo Glimetsoza at Tsibu, in the North Dayi District of the Volta Region that the project will be fully completed soon to serve its purpose.
