Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice as Real Madrid kept their place at the top of La Liga with victory at minnows Eibar in front of a sellout 5,250 crowd.
The Portuguese has now scored 20 goals in 11 La Liga matches this season.
James Rodriguez headed home Ronaldo’s cross with the hosts appealing because Karim Benzema appeared to be offside.
Ronaldo doubled Real’s lead with a shot into the top corner and Benzema added a third before Ronaldo’s late penalty kept up his amazing scoring form.
Earlier in the day, champions Atletico Madrid moved up into second place with a 3-1 win over Malaga. Tiago Mendes, Antoine Griezmann and Diego Godin scored the goals for Diego Simeone’s side.
