Largest telecom operator in the country MTN has restored services to Expresso.

MTN cut services to Kasapa on the first of November this year after Expresso failed to honor its financial obligations to MTN.

MTN’s CEO Serame Taukobong had earlier told Citi Business News it would not restore the services until Kasapa honors its financial obligation to it.

‘We hope the issue will be resolved as soon as possible. It can only be resolved if Kasapa shows commitment to honor their financial obligations’

It is unclear with the latest development whether Expresso has paid its arrears.

But Citi Business News has gathered the two resolved the matter mutually.

In a text messages to its customers on the 20th of November,2014, MTN stated ‘services to Expresso (Kasapa) have been restored’.

It further stated that calls from Expresso can now be received effective 20th November,2014.

‘You can now receive calls from Expresso customers effective November 20th’ the text stated.

MTN was not the only telco which cut services to Expresso over cash matters.

Airtel also cut services to the company a few days after MTN did.

It is yet to restore services to Expresso.

Other telecom operators including Vodafone, Glo and Tigo did not cut services to Expresso.

CEO of Vodafone Ghana Haris Broumidis earlier told Citi Business News Vodafone will not cut services to Expresso over the matter.
