The family of the late Warrant Officer (WO) Peter Azubire Atibire, the soldier who was suspected to be suffering from the Ebola disease has accused the 37 Military Hospital of negligence.
The family is therefore demanding an explanation from the Ghana Armed Forces for his death.

They were subsequently quarantined at the 37 Military Hospital after it was suspected they were infected with the Ebola disease.
Though tests carried out on both soldiers proved negative, Peter Azuribe subsequently passed on.
The family of the deceased however believe the negligence of health officials at the hospital contributed to the untimely death of the soldier.
Speaking to Citi News, the Cousin of the deceased Roland Awelinga asked the hospital to offer explanations on the death of the soldier since health officials at the hospital refused to attend to him over fears of contracting Ebola.
“We want the unit, which is the staff college;the unit he belongs to assist us with the information that we need.If we satisfied fine but if we are not satisfied, we will take the next step but for now the family is not satisfied with especially the tag that has been given to our relatives.”
Meanwhile the family has said the body is yet to be released to them for burial.
The Ghana Armed Forces has however described accusations levelled against the family as unfair.
Speaking to citifmonline.com, the Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Armed Forces, Mr. Eric Aggrey Quarshie dismissed the allegation, saying ” It is not the issue of negligence. He was seriously sick and was flown down. It will be unfair for the family to say that the hospital was negligent because two people were flown down and one is still alive.”
