The former Executive Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS), Alhaji Alhassan Imoro has been granted a Ghc90 million bail by an Accra High Court.

[contextly_sidebar id=”tNQc7VcwA2HZwygRLsUGnnfsvJ6AFFdM”]The request for bail by lawyers for Alhaji Imoro was granted after investigators failed to meet the ultimatum given by presiding Judge Justice Georgina Mensah Datse for the state to finish their investigations during the last hearing.

Earlier, the Court declined the bail request by lawyers of Alhaji Imoro bail when he appeared before the Court on November 3.

The court ordered the BNI to allow Imoro’s relatives and lawyers, to have access to him between 0800 hours and 1600 hours when he was remanded for the second time.

It also ordered that Imoro should be given special diet on request and also, be sent to the Police Hospital for medical attention.

During his appearance in court today, November, 17, Imoro was granted bail with conditions to provide three justified sureties with landed properties worth GhȻ1million collectively.

Imoro has also been ordered to surrender his passport to the BNI and also to avail himself to the BNI every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and any other day that the BNI needs him.
