Former General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Josiah Aryeh says he will sue the NDC and its present General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia for defamatory of character.

“If Asiedu Nketia had the nerve to make an allegation against somebody, I dare him to want to prove it, not just him but the party (NDC) he represents too; I am going to sue them [NDC and Gen Mosquito] both for defamation of character.”

According to Dr Aryeh, when you allege, you prove. “What I can do as a private citizen when my character has been maligned is to go to court.”

“If I don’t take that man to court, that wouldn’t be me, latest next Friday you will see that I have issued summons against him and the NDC as well,” he stated on Joy FM.

But Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia challenged him to go to court. “I am waiting to meet him in court; let him meet me in court…”

Dr. Aryeh who is now a leading member of breakaway party, National Democratic Party (NDP), criticized and described some members of government as sharing and distributing the nation’s resources.

Speaking at NDP’s regional delegate’s congress held in Kumasi last Saturday, Dr. Aryeh indicated that some persons in the current NDC government “are a gang of thieves. They go stealing and burgling in the night and because you and I are not part of the gang that stole, you will never see any sign of the booty because if you saw the booty, you will let them out so they keep the booty to themselves.”

But Mr. Asiedu Nketia in an interview on Citi Breakfast Show on Monday responded to Dr Ayeh’s, describing him as a “thief”.

“For Josiah Aryeh to accuse anybody of stealing is the highest injustice this country has ever suffered because you were talking to a thief,” the NDC General Secretary proclaimed.
