The Elections Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is urging party members and aspirants to disregard reports that the Tamale venue for its upcoming national delegates conference has been changed.
There were reports that the venue has been changed following clashes in Tamale which claimed two lives.
A release signed by the acting Director of Communications Perry Okudzeto however discounted the reports and indicated that the Tamale Sports Stadium still remains the venue for the 12th April conference.
The NPP is scheduled to organize its national delegates conference to elect new national executives.
Aspirants vying for the various positions are rigorously campaigning across the country ahead of the conference.
