One of Ghana’s leading manufacturers of fast moving consumer goods, Unilever Ghana, has introduced a new range of Vaseline Intensive Care lotions and creams that go beyond basic moisturisation to deeply heal dry skin unto the Ghanaian market.
The new range referred to as the Vaseline Intensive Care Range, are body lotions and creams that exceed the hydration promise of other brands by deeply moisturizing dry skins.
It comes in three variants (each in lotions and creams format) – Vaseline Intensive Care Dry skin repair, Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe Soothe and Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Glow.
This new range lotions and creams deliver superior moisturisation and also provide more substantive and longer-lasting results, keeping skin restored for longer.
Each of the powerful formulas have been designed to contain a special blend of humectants to draw water into the skin, and restoring micro-droplets of Vaseline Petroleum Jelly to lock moisture to combat dry skin.
At the launch new products on Sunday, November 9, Clarence Nartey, Brand Building Director of Unilever Ghana explained that daily exposure to environmental agents like wind, lack of humidity, sun among others can cause the skin’s natural moisture barrier to break down, allowing water to escape the skin.
He said, it is this malfuncation of the skin’s natural moisture barrier that causes dry skin.
He further added that Vaseline Intensive Care lotion deeply moisturizes skin, creating the ideal state in which the body’s own protective barrier can recover and restore itself.
“There are no quick fixes when it comes to skin health,” says Mr Nartey.
“We know that dry skin can be itchy and uncomfortable, and while some daily lotions can temporarily relieve these sympons, they are essentially masking the real issue-that the skin is not working properly. That is why we created the new Vaseline Intensive Care range that leverages the dry skin restoring power of Vaseline Jelly to provide a longer-lasting more substantive solution.”
