Grant was Technical Director of then English Premier League club Portsmouth in 2006 joining Chelsea in July 2007 as Director of Football. September 2007.
Following the departure of manager José Mourinho by mutual consent later that year, Grant was appointed as Chelsea boss but was sacked at the end of the season despite leading the club to second place in the Premier League and their first Champions League final.
He has since had spells as manager of West Ham United and Partizan Belgrade, where he resigned after winning the Serbian League with the club in 2012.
