Some disappointed youth of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta region have resolved to support opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) following what they described as the government’s failure to improve the lives.

The frustrated members of the ruling NDC have registered their displeasure over the unbearable economic conditions Ghanaians are facing under the NDC.

Robert Teteyfio Adjase, the leader of the group calling itself ‘’disappointed NDC Youth’’ said Ghanaians can only enjoy the social interventions by the NPP which they [the NDC members] initially criticized.

He said the ruling NDC outwardly failed to sustain and improve on these laudable interventions such as the Metro Mass Transport, the National Health Insurance, School Feeding Project just to mention a few.

[contextly_sidebar id=”OQ03JaJtAksln6ExW6PeO6IviuFpIkKZ”]This he said has compelled the group to see the NPP as the surest bet to bring relief to the people of the Volta region and the country as a whole.

‘’I have been following NDC for close to 25 years championing the course of a better Ghana.

The Ghana we claimed we are trying to better, the Ghana is asleep; deeply asleep nothing is going nothing is coming. Look at even Volta region that we call the strong hold of the NDC; no work, no developemt, the youth are just suffering.’’ Robert Teteyfio Adjase said.

He added ‘’the programs that NPP brought those days and we were criticizing them are now helping the people. Instead of sustaining and improving those interventions we are rather killing them’’.

The group has since began a campaign and mounted a banner at one of the major road intersections in the town, with the inscription “Disappointed Youth of NDC Crossing Over to NPP”.

Citimonline.com spotted one of the banners at the Ray Mokossa traffic light in Ho.

They hope to coax other members of the party to join their planned defection.
