The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Nkwanta South in the Volta Region, Peter Kojo Penyeso has been shot dead.
The DCE was gunned down by unknown assailants on Monday evening while he was driving home.
Member of Parliament for the area, Gershon Gbediame who confirmed this to Citi News said the Police are trying to hunt down the DCE’s killers.
“I was with him the whole day, we only departed about 5pm. I am very sad,” he narrated.
Mr. Gbediame also revealed to Citi News that, “there is tension in the town as I speak to you. I have called for military enforcement to prevent any reprisal attack.”
