Once again, highlife musician, Kwabena Kwabena, is set to thrill music lovers, as well as give back to society with his annual Save A Life concert which comes off on Saturday, November 22, at the La Pleasure Beach Hotel, Accra.

The concert is to help praise funds to support the cost of heart surgery for people suffering from heart related complications at the Cardiothoracic Centre of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH).

Some musicians who have been billed to perform alongside Kwabena Kwabena on the night are Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Wutah Afriyie, Samini, Efya, Becca among others.

Kwabena Kwabena revealed at a press conference held at the Cardiothoracic Centre of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) last Monday that last year’s concert failed to meet its target.

He said he had hoped to raise funds to pay for the operations of 20 patients but managed to support just six patients.

Kwabena Kwabena was still excited that he had been able to put smiles on the faces of patients, as well as improve their quality of life.

Kwabena Kwabena, real name, George Kwabena Adu, said in order to give patrons at the event a memorable performance, he had already begun feverish rehearsals in the studio with the Shabo Band.

He added that the evening would be full of surprises since he would be releasing two new singles on the night.  “I entreat everyone to come and listen to good music with the finest highlife artistes you can think of,” he said.

Kwabena Kwabena used the opportunity to thank the management of the cardio centre, as well as sponsors who supported last year’s event and called on more sponsors to get on board in order to meet the target of treating 20 patients.
