La Liga champions Atletico Madrid moved to within a point of leaders Real Madrid with a comfortable win at home to Cordoba.

Antoine Griezmann scored twice and Koke had a hand in three goals as Atletico kept the pressure on city rivals Real at the top of the table.

Griezmann’s double sandwiched Nabil Ghilas’s leveller.

Mario Mandzukic and Raul Garcia put the result beyond doubt for the hosts nosubhealth.com before Ghilas scored his second.

The result puts Atletico in second place temporarily, following Barcelona’s shock home defeat by Celta Vigo, but Sevilla would move top with victory at Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
