A woman pulled a gun on a man who was allegedly raping her dog.
Alice Woodruff discovered a naked man in her Connecticut garden when she went to check on her bull terrier, Layla.
She initially believed Layla had attacked the man, then realised the bizarre reality.
Ms Woodruff pulled out a gun and fired a warning shot, report WTNH.com.
But the man didn’t move so she waited for the police to arrive.
‘I started to scream,’ she told WTNH.com.
‘You have to get out of here. He said “no, today is the day we are going to spend the rest of our lives together”.’
The man is currently undergoing a mental health assessment.
