One of the five persons trapped under the collapsed uncompleted hotel structure in Accra has been rescued with one other confirmed dead.
The immediate cause of the collapse has not been established and no deaths have been confirmed.
According to Citi News‘ Rabiu Alhassan residents in the area had earlier expressed concern about the building.”We heard about the collapse of the building around 4:30am when we heard a very loud sound as the building came down,”Anthony Darko, a resident narrated.
Rabiu Alhassan also said one of the trapped persons is communicating to someone via phone.
He said there is heavy Police presence at the scene and they have cordoned off the area. He says an escavator has been brought to site to help rescue the people trapped under the rubble.
