Bukom Banku appointed Cholera ambassador

Ghanaian boxer, actor and musician Braimah Isaac Kamoko also known as Bukom Banku has been appointed as a Cholera ambassador to help fight the disease in Odododiodio Constituency.

According to Ghanagist.com, his appointment was by the Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, who is also the Member of Parliament for Odododiodio Constituency.

His appointment was announced at an event to launch the National Sanitation Day, which comes of on November 1, 2014.

The launch of the National Sanitation Day coincided with the Global Handwashing Day, which was in the theme “Choose Hand washing, Choose Health”.

Some celebrities have been at the forefront of the fight against Cholera. Actor and TV personality Joselyn Dumas has been organizing educational tours to various markets in the country.
