The Ghanaian student who was suspected to be carrying the Ebola disease and was wrapped in black plastic in the Czech Republic, is traumatized and may need psychological help, the Ghana Embassy in that country has said.

Medical tests on the students later revealed the Ghanaian did not have the Ebola disease after being kept for about four hours by medical officers.

Ghana’s ambassador to the Czech Republic, Zita Okaikoi told citimonline.com that “I have spoken to the boy in question, he is ok but just traumatized but hopefully tomorrow I will see him and see if he needs any psychological help.”

She revealed that the victim was with three other Ghanaians but somebody at the train station raised a false alarm and that is what caused him to be quarantined.

“When they got here they went through immigration and normal checks for Ebola and they realized one of their bags was missing so on their way to lodge a complaint then somebody raised an alarm that they suspected one of them had Ebola so the whole crew came and took him away,” she said.
