A Kumasi High Court has ordered for an out of court settlement in a case brought before it by an aggrieved member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Linus Njonolah restraining the party from holding its constituency and national elections in the Ashanti Region.
Njonolah Linus dragged the NDC and its executives to court for allegedly overstaying their tenure of office and also breaching some provisions in the party’s constitution.
The Court had earlier ordered the national executives of the party to hold on with the national elections and that of the Ashanti Region for a 10-day period.

Linus Njonolah who spoke to Citi News shortly after the hearing said, His Lordship Jacob Bunoo told them that his ruling has the tendency of tearing the NDC apart, hence, the need for an out of court settlement.
The judge charged the two parties to settle the issue before returning to court on October 27th.
The Judge also cautioned the NDC against underestimating the capacity of the petitioner in the case.
“When we look at the case, I have a lot of people who are interested in the case and I have a strong case that I believe in,” Njonolah said.
“The judge said that there are people who are also interested in the case, that’s why the court has been full to capacity whenever am coming a lot of people have been coming to the court room,” he added.
