Former Black stars coach, Kwesi Appiah, has backed caretaker boss, Maxwell Konadu, to guide the team to victory in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea in Morocco on Saturday.

Kwesi Appiah,  who was in charge of two of the qualifiers before his contract was terminated believes Konadu, will lead the Stars to victory over their West African side.

The match will be played in Morocco after CAF placed a ban on matches in Guinea following the outbreak of Ebola in the country.

The Black Stars have taken 4 points out of 6 and are joint top of their group following a draw with the Cranes of Uganda in Kumasi and a 3-2 victory over Togo in Lome.

Qualification for the tournament in Morocco goes ahead, despite calls from the hosts for it to be moved because of the Ebola oubreak, with the Confederation of African Football stating that no changes will be made to its schedule ahead of the tournament next year.

Official Ghana XI v Guinea: S. Adams, H. Afful, Rahman, J. Mensah, A. Mohammed, A. Badu, C. Atsu, K. Asamoah, A. Gyan, J. Ayew and A. Ayew.
