Tamale NDC youth group prays for Mahama

Tamale based youth group of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) calling itself Friends of Dr. Ekow Spio Gabrah has taken advantage of the Eid-Ul Adha festival and organized a special prayer in Tamale for President John Mahama’s administration to succeed in governing the nation.

The group on Monday October 6, 2014 slaughtered a ram and recited the Holy Qur’an asking Allah to guide President John Mahama’s administration to overcome the current economic challenges.

The group’s Spokesperson, Dokurugu Salifu urged President John Mahama to ignore his detractors “vile propaganda” against him in the media and concentrate on delivering his mandate in line with the Better Ghana agenda.

By extension, the group commended President John Mahama for taken immediate steps to unite the (NDC) ahead of the 2016 general elections.

The group is convinced Dr. Ekow Spio Gabrah’s appointment and subsequent Parliamentary approval as Minister for Trade and Industry is a mark of unity in the NDC.

Dokurugu Salifu told Citi News that Dr. Ekow Spio Gabrah is capable of wooing more multinationals to boost Ghana’s trade and industry sector.

He thanked Parliament for not scolding Dr. Ekow Spio Gabrah during the vetting and approval stages.

Dokurugu Salifu reaffirmed the group’s commitment to gunner more votes for the party in 2016 to retain President Mahama in power.
