Majority Leader in Parliament Alban Bagbin has been hospitalized at the 37 Military Hospital suddenly taking ill in Parliament.

The Nadowli Kaleo MP who was only sworn in yesterday was rushed to the hospital from the House.

[contextly_sidebar id=”mawlmXbJfOf7hqgGJz7XWeszsMjSPPHG”]It is unclear yet what exactly is wrong with Mr. Bagbin but MP and Minister for Roads and Highway Inusah Fuseini confirmed to citifmonline.com that “he was rushed to hospital, my information is that the doctors are taking care of him. I am not really sure what happened to him.”

MP for Wa Central Abdul Rashid Pelpuo who also confirmed the incident to citifmonline.com said Mr. Bagbin “was feeling dizzy and was sweating so he was rushed to the hospital.”

Earlier in the morning the Leader was seen presiding over  a joint caucus meeting of the House which preceded today’s sitting. Leadership of the House has visited him at the hospital.

Mr. Bagbin was sworn in on Wednesday as the new majority leader but has been in the news in the last two days after describing the Council of State as “errand boys.”
