Lawyer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Victor Kojogah Adawudu is calling on the Ghana Bar Association to call  Godfred Dame to order for referring to a lawyer representing two NPP members in court as an NDC sympathizer.

Mr. Dame described described the case in which two members of the party are seeking an injunction on the NPP’s October 18 congress as mischievous.

Godfred Dame said “it is curious that members of the NPP are relying on known NDC  lawyers to push for a postponement of the NPP congress meant to elect a presidential candidate for the 2016 elections.”

“I think that statement has to be condemned… he is a senior member of the Association and I believe he should know better.”

He clarified that the NPP members consulted a lawyer who they were comfortable with and have confidence in.

“I was surprised hearing this from somebody like Godfred Dame Yeboah. I think this is wrong and I believe all decent people should also condemn this.”

The Court has set October 3 to rule on the case filed by the two members while an Accra Fast Track High Court has also dismissed a case filed by the former constituency chairman of the party, David Hozeame.

David Hozeame was challenging the status of the National Council.
