A Cape Coast High Court has jailed the District Chief Executive(DCE) of the Twifo Atti-Morkwa Bossman Osei-Hyiamang Junior for two weeks for assaulting a bailiff.

The bailiff, Edward Attiodu went to the house of the DCE to hand him a writ of sermons for contempt of court but the angry Bossman Osei Hyiamang led a group of men to beat the bailiff up.

The bailiff secretly recorded the incident which was later used as evidence against the DCE.

According to Citi FM’s Central Regional Correspondent, Kwamena Bamfo Adjei, “the DCE on three occasions, insulted the bailiff and even threatened to kill him.”

He will spend his incarceration at the Ankaful Prisons.
