Contestants for Airtel Trace Music Star to avoid live auditions

Airtel takes music competition to another level with the Airtel Trace Star

Airtel and TRACE TV recently launched a unique mobile song competition. This maiden edition promises to be even bigger and is set to start soon and has had many talking about it.

Artists and amateur music enthusiasts have the opportunity for their three minutes of fame by singing into the dialed IVR number and recording their song.

Dubbed Airtel TRACE Music Star, the competition will be rolled out across 13 Countries in Francophone and Anglophone Africa where Airtel has a presence including Ghana. The best singing talent in each territory will be identified, rewarded and put in competition with the best singing talents of other participating territories to run for the Title of best African Music Talent.

Contestants can win simply by calling in a short code number. There is even an option to rehearse on a phone karaoke that scores the performance. Without having to stand in big long queues, all that participants have to do is Call, Sing and Win a chance to become the next big music star in Ghana and possibly across Africa and the world.

The competition is expected to begin in early October 2014; to participate, contestants will need to call into a short code number to stand a chance to become the next big music star in their country and possibly across Africa and the world.
