This is part of efforts to expand educational infrastructure in deprived communities in the district.

The projects are funded by the West Gonja District Assembly, the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) and non-governmental-organizations.

District Chief Executive for West Gonja, Ali Bakari Kassim said education will remain one of his administration’s topmost priority.

In a related development, the West Gonja District Assembly disciplined a local contractor for attempting to execute shoddy work at Ndewura Jakpa Senior High School in Damongo.

A task force led by the DCE visited the construction site and destroyed over thousand blocks molded for a school project.

Ali Bakari Kassim said his action was meant to deter other local contractors working on the numerous projects in the West Gonja District.

He warned that his administration will not hesitate to terminate the contract of any contractors found executing shoddy work in the area.
