The Managing Director of Graphic Communications Group, Kenneth Ashigbey is urging journalists in Ghana to boycott a planned press conference to be addressed by the family of Black Stars Captain, Asamoah Gyan.

The press briefing which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday is expected to address questions on the disappearance of Hiplife artiste, Theophilus Tagoe, popularly known as Castro, who is a close friend of Asamoah Gyan.

The family is also expected to make a statement on Baffour Gyan’s assault case against Graphic’s reporter, Daniel Kenu.

He stated that it will be a “sin against all who have died in the cause of duty and all who are still being assaulted. I urge all Ghanaian Journalist & Media persons & house once in our live to stand for what is right.”

Daniel Kenu surprised his boss and many journalists in court last Friday, when he dropped the assault charges against Baffour, citing health and personal reasons.

The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) and the Graphic Communications group were angered by his actions and are planning on a possible sanction.
