Nigeria President Goodluck Jonathan visited the site of TB Joshua’s collapsed building at the Synagogue Church of All Nations and promised to ensure that the incident is properly investigated and necessary action taken; to avert future occurrence.

A six-storey building belonging to the church collapsed last week and trapped over 80 persons to death while others sustained various degrees of injuries.

Though investigations are still ongoing to unravel what led to the incident, the Lagos State Government claimed that the General overseer of the church, Prophet TB Joshua, failed to obtain approval for the building.

The church, however, attributed the incident to a ‘strange’ aircraft, which it claimed was hovering around the church premises before the building collapsed.

The state government said if there were any violation of relevant planning laws, the church would be shut down indefinitely.
