Franklin Cudjoe, Executive Director of IMANI Ghana has said that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has no clue about how far it wants to take the development of football in Ghana.
Franklin Cudjoe’s comment follows the GFA’s confirmation that it has parted ways with coach Kwesi Appiah and made Serbian trainer, Milovan Rajevac the new Black Stars coach.
A former chairman of the Ghana Football Association, Ben Kuofie, told Citi News Kwesi Appiah, did not deserve to be sacked.
Speaking on the Citi FM’s Big Issue on Saturday, Franklin Cudjoe said the way the GFA terminated the appointment of Kwesi Appiah was not the best.

“Clearly speaking, we are not doing anything in terms of sports development in this country. This country is so disjointed in every department and the sports department seals it. Nothing gives me hope that the GFA is interested in developing sports in the country… There is no content, there is no futuristic visions about how to develop sports. It’s just a matter of jokes all around,” he insisted.
Prof. Agyemang Badu Akosa, a former Director General of the Ghana Health Service, has described Ghanaians as being “too obsessed with Serbian coaches.”
According to him, Serbian coaches over the years have not been able to lead any country to win the World Cup, adding that there was no need to hire them.
His comment follows news that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has rehired Milovan Rajevac as Coach for the Black Stars.
This is the fourth time Ghana is hiring a Serbian coach to lead the Black Stars.
