Robert Sarbah, Greater Accra Chairman of Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), has called on the Ghana Health Service (GHS) to collaborate with the Union to create strategies to fight the cholera outbreak.

He said the collaboration should include the fumigation of commercial vehicles that carry cholera patients to the hospitals.

He said: “As drivers and partners, we owe it a duty to compliment government efforts in ensuring the health and safety of the public but unfortunately acceptable guidelines have not been put in place.”

According to him, the outbreak of the disease demands special strategy with the view of improving sanitation standards among the people.
