Ghana has nabbed a total of five nominations for this year’s Channel O Music Video Awards.
Tema-based duo R2bees and Ghana’s hottest rapper Sarkodie have each been nominated in two categories. Shatta Wale, the self acclaimed Dancehall King, has also been nominated for Most Gifted Ragga Dancehall with his song Everybody Likes My Thing.
Sarkodie’s Illuminati has been nominated for Most Gifted Video of the Year and Most Gifted Male Video. R2Bees on the other hand have been nominated in the Most Gifted Duo, Group Or Featuring and Most Gifted West with their hit single Slow Down which featured Wizkid.

Nigeria’s Davido and South African Hiphop artiste Cassper Nyowest leads the nomination with five nods each.
This year’s awards show will take place on Saturday, 29 November at Nasrec Expo Centre in Soweto, South Africa.
